Need help, had wisdom teeth extracted today and might have a problem.?!

Question: Need help, had wisdom teeth extracted today and might have a problem..?
Right so i got them extracted today and soon after when i got home, one of the stitches came out and that one has opened up. It doesn't hurt at all like the other three do and the bleeding. I'm wondering if I just leave it be that it will heal on its own, just slower than the others, or if I need to go back and get it restitched because it won't heal or more problems could occur from it. Please don't answer if you're just going to call me dumb for even considering not getting help, all I need to know is if it will be fine if left alone.Health Question & Answer

If it doesnt hurt and didn't start bleeding it should be fine. The reason why they put stiches in sometimes is just because the healing time is faster and the hole may have been to big. I wouldn't worry about it. I had the same thing happen to mine and it healed just fine.Health Question & Answer

a lot of times, stiches are not necessary once they take your wisdom teeth out. if it is not bleeding do not worry, make sure nothing gets in the hole, and keep it clean, follow the post op instructions, and rinse well 24-48 hours after the teeth were removed. Call your dentist also to make sure they did not put any stiches on there however and if there was one there, if it is OK that it has fallen out. Most often it is fine, but it does not hurt to double check.Health Question & Answer

Put a teabag on it, if it is bleeding. This will help stop bleeding. If it doesn't stop, call your oral surgeon's number. They will have a call service, and someone will call you back. If the bleeding does stop, call them in the morning.Health Question & Answer

Call and make an appointment if your stitches came out as an open hole is an invitation for infection if any food particle gets inside that hole.Health Question & Answer

It should stop on its own - if you do not smoke. Nicotine will make it continue to bleed.Health Question & Answer

You would have had stitches for your wisdoms if the dentist had to cut into the gum & bone. If this is the case, 1-be very mindful of what you eat, as you need to establish a blood clot in order for the gums or sockets to start healing. A clot will have established itself if the sight has stopped bleeding. Try not to smoke, eat or drink hot foods or drinks, as they will soften the clot, causing the sight to bleed, meaning more delay in the healing process. Eat soft foods such as yoghurt, scrambled eggs or jelly, and dont forget to do salt n water mouth rinses as the salt water aids with the healing process also. If in doubt, call your dentist who performed the procedure. Wisdom extractions, can sometimes be a mini surgical proceedure, so it very important to follow up on the home after care instructions the dental surgery have given you, (I hope they did)- if you dont follow homecare instructions accordingly, you could be prone to infection in the sockets, where you will need anti bio's to help control.-Good luckHealth Question & Answer
