Ive heard that its better to brush your teeth after breakfast rather than brushing before, is this true?!

Question: Ive heard that its better to brush your teeth after breakfast rather than brushing before, is this true.?
Answers:
Yes, it's true.

If you brush your teeth before breakfast than the food you eat at breakfast sits in you teeth until the next time you brush your teeth (hopefully after lunch, but more likely not until the evening).

also that food is on your breath all morning.

I brush both before and after. I do a quick brush after I get out of the shower because I hate that my whole body is clean, but my mouth feels dirty, but then I brush again (a better brush) after to make sure there is no food in my teeth all morning!Health Question & Answer

yes, it is true. because we should brush twice once at bed time and once in the morning. when we brush at bed time after that we donot eat anything till the breakfast. so morning brush should be after the breakfast. For more information on this you can read the following very informative article from a dental website

It's always better to brush after you've eaten because otherwise the sugars from your food will stay in your mouth to feed the bacteria that cause cavities and bad breath. However, it's important that you wait a little while after eating acidic food (so stuff like citrus fruits/juices like orange juice, sodas like coke, etc) because your enamel gets softened after eating these foods. If you brush too soon after, it's a lot easier to wear it down because it's softer, which weakens your teeth's defenses.Health Question & Answer

Definetely better...then you can get rid of any food bits left from breakfast.Health Question & Answer

I would say yes only because you then get rid of the breakfast food PLUS whatever was there from morning/sleep breath.Health Question & Answer
