wisdom teeth are the back 4 molars in your mouth. They usually grow in during the teen years or during early adulthood. Some people never have problems with them. They can come in at 15. I'm 19 and i'm having mine taken out next week. Talk to your dentist about it and they will help you with any other questions you may have, as well as whether or not to have them removed.

When it grows in, it will just push through your gums like all your other teeth did. Best of luck, I hope this helped.Health Question & Answer

Count your lower teeth. If you have 14 teeth present then you may be having a wisdom tooth come in. It may also be that you are getting bacteria behind your tooth causing the gums to swell. Floss the area after meals for a few days and do salt water rinses. If it does not clear up you can go to the dentist for an x-ray to see if it is in fact your wisdom teeth. By the way a wisdom tooth is your third molar, not fourthHealth Question & Answer

Yeah get to a dentist, if just gets way worse the longer you wait. You will wake up one day and be in the worst pain of your life, and that day is usually right before a holiday or on a saturday when no Dentist is open.

Getting them removed is no big deal, you will be pretty out of it that day. I had all four of mine removed at the same time and after the first day it was sore but nothing compared to the pain of having them. I woke up groggy from the surgery and even then it felt 1000x's better. Get it checked out, save yourself some pain.Health Question & Answer

If part of the tooth is erupted, but part of it is still stuck under the gum you may have an impacted wisdom tooth. You want to go to the dentist right away, because it will only get worse with time.Health Question & Answer
