Answers:
no, mouth wash can not substitute the tooth paste. the tooth paste has mild abrasive which is essential for cleaning the teeth aong with other constituents. For more information you can visitthe following very informative dental website

Please realize that it is the brushing and removal of the food particles that is the important part and NOT the toothpaste. The toothpaste is really just for taste and breath. If you want, you could brush without anything then rinse with mouthwash for breath. Don't forget to brush your tongue as that is where a lot of the bacteria live that causes bad breath. In the U.S. the water is usually fluoridated (has fluoride in it) so there is no need to add extra fluoride with toothpaste.Health Question & Answer

I use sometimes a mix of red lavoris and my regular toothpaste, the combo is exhilerating!!! and an electric brush really helps, and dont forget to FLOSS!!! thats just as important as brushing ............i'm paying for neglecting my teeth over the years, gum disease destroys not only your gums but damages the teeth!!! so take care of them and stop the sugar pop!!!! DRINK BOTTLED OR TAP WATER!!!
thats my soapbox for the moment!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO!!!!Health Question & Answer
