Question: Tooth problem, so much pain..?
I had a filling put in the hole I had going down in the tooth and another little filling on the tooth next to it. That was a month ago and all was okay but then got Sharp pains in it last week and now its killing me! Last night I had 3 hours hours sleep as the pain so bad, I cant touch the tooth or bite down on it. My cheek really hurts and pain in my ear. Im going to the dentist tuesday as that's the only time they can fit me in and ive tried emergency dentists but no! What can I take to take the pain away so I can sleep! Im taking Ibuprofen 400mg but that not touching it. I got coCodmial that I got in Aug for a tooth can I take them again.? Anything else that will help my tooth and cheek and ear.? I got to work today and my god im in so much pain and so tired! Help ssomeoneplease, tooth pain is awful and im such a wimp im 26 and crying!Health Question & Answer

whe i got my 2 teeth out before so i could get my braces in, i was in a lot of pain...I went to the hospital and they gave me ibroprofen...
you can take ibroprophen and paracetomal at the same time...
wat i did was take ibroprofen and then 2 hrs later i took paracetomal and so on... bcause it wasnt killing the pain for the 4 hours... jst be careful not to take too many or take them to soon.

the next step is to go to the dental hospital - they have the equivalent of an a&e department and it sounds like you need emergency treatment.

I had severe tooth pain for about a month this past fall. During the day I had to take up to 800mg motrin at a time and then at night I would take vicodin. Vicodin is oaky, but if pain is severe you will need percocet. It is the best at relieving tooth pain.Health Question & Answer

Oh dear you poor thing. Sounds like you've got an abscess.
Try taking Ibuprofen and 1000mg paracetamol together - they are more effective taken in combination than either taken alone. They're different family painkillers so you wouldn't be over-dosing.
Co-codamol can make you feel nauseous, but if you find it helps, take it alone without ibuprofen/paracetamol.
I am surprised you cannot get an emergency dentists appt - it is important to treat abcesses quickly (particularly when you're in so much pain) as it sounds like the infection has already spread to your ears... I would ring up and try again to get that emergency appt. The sooner you're on anti-biotics the better.Health Question & Answer
