How many times in 1 year should I see my dentist?!

Question: How many times in 1 year should I see my dentist.?
I haven't seen the dentist in over 1 year. I am going to make an appointment first thing in the beginning of next year. I used to
hate going to the dentist. I have 3 broken teeth. But I will get them
fixed or taken out.I am finally getting my teeth white and my gums are getting healthy.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Everyone, no matter what age, should see there dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and checkup. If you have periodontal disease or develop tartar quickly, then you may need to go every 3-4 months. X-rays are routinely take once per year.

On a side note, if you have broken teeth, I would recommend getting them repaired if the dentist feels as thought he can fix them with fillings, crowns, root canals, etc. Getting your teeth taken out should only be a last resort if nothing else can be done. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
