Help! Post braces question!?!

Question: Help! Post braces question!.?
I just got my braces off and my teeth look great, but the only problem is, I noticed a tiny gap in between my front two teeth. It doesn't extend all the way down; it is more like a hole. It kind of looks like a piece of pepper or something. I am really worried because it bothers me. I mean you pay so much for braces, you want perfect teeth, right.? Well, I want to tell my ortho, but I am afraid he is going to say something like, "Too late, the braces are off now..." or something like that. Can this be fixed by an adjustment to my retainer.? What should/can I do.?.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Definitely talk to your ortho.

usually, when you get braces, you buy is as a plan, usually about 3000-6000 covers everything that happens with your braces, including getting them on, maintainence, and taking them off.

See if your ortho could do anything to help your teeth that is covered in your plan, so you wont pay extra

by the way, an ortho should NEVER say "too late"
it is up to him to make your teeth as perfect as possibleHealth Question & Answer

You could talk to your ortho, because that's the only way to find out for sure if anything can be done, and you don't want to be stuck with a problem that you found out later could have been fixed easily. However, it is probably something very small and not noticeable, so you shouldn't worry about it too much. We tend to notice all the little things, and look for our flaws, so I'm sure nobody will even notice if nothing is done.Health Question & Answer

If it concerns you then it is important that you talk to your orthodontist. It may be something they can help you with, or it may be the shape of your teeth, but you will feel better about it if you discuss it with the dr. and hear his/her opinion.Health Question & Answer

It may just be the shape of your tooth. Maybe you never noticed it because your braces were in the way.

I bet you look awesome!Health Question & Answer
