Question: DENTIST/ORTHODONTIST..How long do you keep teeth impressions.?
I just lost my retainer today after 2 years of proper use. I leave it out one freaking day and someone thinks it cute to think they are play teeth and lose them. Anyway, do you keep impressions even after this long.? I'd hate for my teeth to relapse and I hardly have a dime to my name.
If no impressions are kept after a certain amount of time will they do new impressions.? Wouldn't that keep the teeth at their new shifted point instead of the original placement..?Health Question & Answer

I asked my orthodontist the same thing and they said they're obligated by the government to keep all records of patients for 9 years. That's including impressions. No kidding. At my orthodontist office though it costs $150 to get a new retainer. Hope this helps!Health Question & Answer
i know when i lost mine they did a new impression cuz you teeth will move in a couple days and you cant call til monday so who knows when they can keep u in
