I just went to see an orthodontist today, and i would be getting braces next febraruy..
should i get clear ones.. or what.?.? how long would i where them. .. WHY ARE THEY SHOO FAAACKEN EXPENSIVE D':< !!!

Hey! i got hit by a car when i was 6, and broke my jaw in 4 places
so my teeth were a biiiiit bad haha
im on my 5th year of braces, and they really arent that bad
colors i reccomend NOT to get for rubber bands
- black (make teeth look gray, yellow)
- white (make teeht look yellow)
- green, orange, yellow (makes it look like you have food in teeth)
reccomended colors
- blue
- teal
- purple
- pink
- silver!
mine never really hurt, i never had to use rubber bands

Well Im a dental assistant and I had braces for 3 and a half years but that was like 6 years ago. Now adays treatment usually is pretty quick bout 18-24 months but it totally depends on what needs to be done and how much to adjust your smile to perfection:) I wouldnt go with the clear ones if your talking about the clear retainer ones (invisaline) because you have to always make sure to wear them constantly other wise the more you forget the longer it will take, and the reason why theyre so expensive is because dental equipment is really really expensive no joke youd be surprised at what one little thing costs. Anyways braces are totally worth it, Im so happy my parents made me get them:) I was so happy with the results, Id do it all over again in a heart beat. Yes they arent that comfortable but the discomfort really only lasts about a few days and then its no big deal. So good luck, hope that helpedHealth Question & Answer
braces are annoying at first. they hurt in the beginning too. after a while you get used to them. i don't know why they're so expensive, it must just be the materials needed. the color of the braces is up to you. most people want clear ones but still are visible. one thing the orthodontist tells you is not to eat certain types of foods, because they get stuck in the braces. when i had braces, i was able to eat the foods anyways. it depends on the person though.

get black rubber bands. that way food does not stain the rubber bands
but the most important thing is after when you get them off don't forget to wear your retainer. otherwise your going to have to go to the process all over again. i would know.Health Question & Answer
