There are two ways to whiten your teeth. Laser treatment and home-whitening option.

In the laser whitening, your dental team will put a rubber dam over your mouth and exposed the teeth. Then they'll put the material on the teeth and zapped them using ultraviolet light. The procedure takes a couple of minutes and you will have nice white teeth in no time. Though it takes faster and you will see the results quicker, this procedure will require you to touch up (as in return to do this again) after one to two years depending on how yellow your teeth gets.

In the home-whitening option, your dental team will take moulds of your teeth then pour them out to make two trays. (upper and lower trays) Then you will get several tubes of whitening for you to take home. Your dental team will then instruct you on how to use them. Usually you would just squirt a bit of the material onto the trays then wear them like how you would wear a mouthguard overnight. The result will not be instanenous and you might experience some sensitivity around the gum lines. On the up side, you will be able to do touch-ups whenever your teeth gets yellow and you will only have to order for the materials.

That episode on Ross' teeth is extremely funny but don't worry. No amount of bleach will make your teeth glow like that in the dark. :)Health Question & Answer

Yes it did work. They made trays and then each night I applied a little of the agent in each 'tooth' of each tray, put them in and leave them there for at least four hours (usually at bedtime) .

The dentist checks what shade you are and what shade you want to be and prescribes the amount of the agent needed. Follow the instructions and it should workHealth Question & Answer
