My gums were hurting me a few days ago and now they are bleeding. What can I do to stop it. I don't have insurance to go to the dentist.Health Question & Answer

First of all you must understand what caused this to know how to prevent it in the future. This is caused by plague building up on your teeth and under your gum. Some must have turned into tartar to have caused the bleeding.
You can start by brushing better and brushing often. The best way to know that you have brushed well is to brush like you are brushing one tooth at a time. You should follow brushing with flossing. Some dentists say flossing is even more important than burshing because it helps to take out the hard-to-reach plaque in between your gums and help to remove those that are underneath. Futhermore, I suggest you get a good mouthwash that is ADA approved and is favorable to your tastes. the two answers on top are right on the money. I would also add to rinse with mouthwash and a little peroxide added to the mouthwash. the oxigen in the oeroxide helps kill the bacteria that cause the bleeding and the bone lossHealth Question & Answer
