I got my wisdom teeth out a couple years ago. I got all four of them pulled out and all 4 were impacted. The first couple days I was sore and swollen but it wasn't too bad. Then I got dry socket infection in both of the lower extraction sites. It hurt pretty badly and they had to stuff this weird paper stuff into the holes and I had to take antibiotics. I felt fine a week or so after that.

It's pretty common to still have pain on the 3rd day, try a warm wet washcloth on the outside of your cheeks to relieve pain.Health Question & Answer

I had a very good experience when my wisdom teeth were extracted. Virtually no pain after the procedure. I did not need any medications at all.

I've a friend who experienced just the opposite. It took her approximately five days or so before she could talk without radiating pain. Mind you, she was older than me so I guess the other you are, the harder your gums and bones take to heal. I think she lost a couple of pounds because she couldn't eat well.

Just be patient and it'll pass. Keep cleaning the site to get food out and hang in there.Health Question & Answer

im in the same position but in day four. I'm worried one molar might have a dry socket, but tomorrow should tell. Its not as painful as they make dry socket out to be so maybe it's just some pain.

i've eaten noodles, soup, pudding, applesauce.Health Question & Answer
