How can I make my teeth white?!
Question: How can I make my teeth white.?
They sort of have this yellow tinge to it which I think is down to the fact that I drink coffee.
Any ideas to help make them white.?

I had the same problem. My grandmother said try baking soda. It worked great. I noticed a difference in about a week. I was told by my dentist that alot of the whiteners on the market contain hydrogen peroxide, so I ask can I use it on my teeth. He advised me that using peroxide can damage the enamel on teeth and damage the gums. Some people tend to abuse them and not use them properly. He advised me that people should have that done professionally. But I stick to the baking soda since that worked for me. It also freshens your breath too.Health Question & Answer

If you want faster results you can visit your dentist or even go to a teeth whitening clinic. However this is a fairly expensive option and now many of the same products that are used by the dentist are available for home use. The active ingredient for the whitening gels both at the dentist or home whitening kits is carbamide peroxide. The faster you want the results the higher the percentage of carbamide peroxide you need in the gel. Generally the range is between 10-36%.
Some products even have a light that activates the whitening gel for added strength and then has a last step of re-mineralization to protect and enhance the enamel.
