Question: Truthfully, how awful do my braces look.? (Pictures included).?
I got braces just yesterday, and not only do they hurt but i'm unsure on how they look... Whats your opinion on them.? I'm open to constructive critisism... Oh, and i'm 14 years old by the way.

You are adorable. Don't worry about it. You should consider yourself very lucky that your parents cared enough to get braces for you. My parents did not see braces as a priority when I was younger. Now I am 33 years old and have braces because my teeth were chipping due to a bad bite. Consider yourself lucky - and remember you are beautiful. Just remember to keep them very clean - swollen gums and food stuck in your braces is not attractive! Good luck =)Health Question & Answer
You look great, and like the other people are saying, your teeth are going to be so perfect. Just make sure and wear your retainer. I didn't wear mine, and now my teeth are kind of crooked. So make sure to follow the directions. I had braces for 2 years, which isn't that long, but I regret wasting the time and now having bad teeth again. Yeah, they hurt a lot, but the outcome will be so worth it. If the braces get stuck to your lips or cheeks, just put some wax on it. (The ortho should've given you some). there all right , they will hurt for a little while but you get used to them, ive seen some girls who look a lot worse with braces than you ever will, so your really quite lucky.
i know it's not ideal but after a while you and you Friend's will forget about them, just think of the end result..

Look, when I was your age I said no to real braces. Only ever had loose ones.
I am almost 25 now and paid a lot of money last year to have a correction done. I know you don't want to hear it but it's for the better. Many people want perfect teeth and you will hopefully have them one day. Plus you're a pretty girl, as if those braces matter.Health Question & Answer
