Hi, I am in 6th grade and would like to know if when you get the invisalign retainers for night only does it hurt and does it make your breath stink.? I am scared because i will be getting them in March.Health Question & Answer

if you're only wearing them at night, then you don't have to really worry. it doesn't hurt, but it can be a little uncomfortable for the first couple of days you start wearing it. as for bad breath, retainers can smell kinda funky, but that' if you don't keep it clean. when you brush your teeth, you should clean your retainers too so it's no dirty and smelly all the time. just let them sit in mouthwash while you brush your teeth and then brush them gently with your tooth brush.Health Question & Answer
they dont hurt at all but if you dont wear them for awhile ur teeth will start to move back and it will feel tight at first. it only makes ur breathe stink if you dont clean ur retainer or brush ur teeth.Health Question & Answer
