I get that a lot, actually. Because of my overbite, my bottom teeth touch the gums on the top of my mouth. It usually occurs whenever I eat something that was too hot. Not spicy, but hot literally. Then when my teeth scrape the gums, it hurts like heck. It goes away after a few hours, but sometimes last a day or more. I wouldn't worry about it unless it doesn't go away after a couple of days.Health Question & Answer
