yeah. the first week or so is the worst, and they'll be sore every time after you get them tightened. be sure and take some ibuprofen and just be sensetive with them. after a week or so they'll be okay. just remember it's so worth it for beautiful teeth!Health Question & Answer
Yea that is perfectly normal. Mine hurt really bad for about a week or so and I couldn't eat anything hard for 3-4 weeks.
That was because my teeth were so messed up, now they are straight and I don't even feel pain even when they tighten my teeth.
You'll get use to it. The first 2 months will be your toughest (not pain wise, but just getting use to the wires in your mouth.)

Maybe... I suggest telling your dentist they hurt. He might want to loosen them. Braces are going to hurt, for everyone, so it's normal.Health Question & Answer
