"Don't come crying to me" said my wisdom teeth surgeon.?!

Question: "Don't come crying to me" said my wisdom teeth surgeon..?
About 7 months ago, i had to have all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. The surgery was horrible, it took almost 4 hours, they touched my nerve which caused me to wake up early, o they had to give me more sleeping stuff, then when i was time to wake up they couldn't wake me up, i stopped breathing for a few seconds. FInally i was waking up after about fifteen twenty min. So they sent me home, as soon as we walked through the door, the dentist called my mom and said i needed to come back they got confused with another patient who was my sister. So me and my mom had to go all the way back, when we got back he said "oh by the way i took too much bone out on accident so no eating for 7 months for a year, nothing that i have to really chew or i will brake or fracture my jaw, but if you do break or fracture don't come crying to me because i warned you and told you so." Those were his exact words my mom was furious. So three months later i am still having problems, its gotten infected twice on the side he took the bone out, and i just don't know if we should just forget this or start taking action, before this happens again. This guy was rude he was prob only about mid twenty maybe late, like just coming out of school.Health Question & Answer

I have to agree with some of the others. You should take some kind of action against him. He should not be practicing. That was not a little mistake that he made. That is a huge mistake. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years and if I was working for a dentist like that I would report him myself. Good luck to you and I hope you start to feel better soon.Health Question & Answer

Malpractice, big time. Accidents shouldn't happen with dental surgery. You need to get as many records as possible, even your sisters record, and take that to the lawyer, also subpoena the assistant who called you and asked you to come back, since the dentist might deny saying that he made a "mistake" It sounds like they really screwed up, and you need to get compensation for that!!!!Health Question & Answer

Wow.. the nerve!! (no pun!) sounds like some kinda malpractice to me.. how can be "accidentally" remove too much bone.? Ugh, i'd try to look more deep into this and see if you can see if you can get some kinda case out of this. The so called dentist was just outright rude.Health Question & Answer

He was kind of a jerk, and he should of used anesthesia!
He meant that if it hurts don't call him or tell him, cause he told you.. that is being a jerk! He is a dentist, he is supposed to know you will tell him it hurts!Health Question & Answer

Nowadays, when they extract teeth they don't give you sleeping stuff. I had to go to my dentist and they made my gum numb and then they took it out. Couldn't feel a thing.Health Question & Answer

take action against this dentist! I was lucky to have a wonderful dentist when all my wisdom teeth had to be taken out!Health Question & Answer

I'd start writing e-mails to his office. If no reply, you have a paper trail that you tried to contact him to let his office know how much pain you've been in. I'm sure your family had to adjust to your situation, like grocery shopping for instance.? If you've had these infections, I'm sure you have doctor bills, even if insurance covered it.
The more you can get whatever they say in writing, the better.
I'd go to small claims and sue for the maximum. Not only for the money, but for the principal and maybe saving someone else from what you had to go through, and still have to apparently.
Good Luck.Health Question & Answer
