Tooth Infected but no pain..is the tooth dead?!

Question: Tooth Infected but no pain..is the tooth dead.?
my number 30 molar has a pimple like bump growing off my gum just under the tooth, its not painful, but I am very scared it will start to infect my whole body if its an infection. Well, It is an infection but I need to know why the antibiotics didnt work and what happens next. Should I just the sucker pulled or go thru all the hassle with root canal retreats or surgery.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Without a doubt, I would go for a root canal over an extraction. Once your an adult you only get one set of teeth so take care of what you've got for as long as you can before you start extracting them (which is not a good look for anybody!). I've had two root canals and neither one of the procedures at the dentists office was painful. What was unbelievably painful was the pain I endured prior to going to the dentist in order to take care of the root canal and also getting dry sockets after an extraction. FYI- make sure you go back after the root canal to get the filling or crown. I didn't and the tooth cracked causing me to have to get an extraction.Health Question & Answer

i had that well, yeah, not really but like 3 years ago, i got a bum on my gum on the back of my mouth by a molar, and what had happened was that it didn't infect my body but it did infect my cheek it got swollen and i had to go to the hospital and getsurgery, but, go to the dentist it might be serious and it might not.Health Question & Answer
