Please help, toothache killing me!?!

Question: Please help, toothache killing me!.?
Ok, here's the story.
I visited a dentist a few months ago who replaced almost all of my fillings. After I had that done, my life changed, literally. I started to have this sharp pain on the left side of my mouth and I couldn't identify which tooth it was. Anyway, I kept going back to that dentist and she would fix the filling every time I went there. So the pain sort of stopped for a week and came back , so I went to another dentist. Who said I might need a root canal and need a wisdom tooth extraction. So I did that, I had my extraction done, and he said that might stop the pain, since he thought the pain was coming from the wisdom tooth. So my extraction was done on Monday, it went fine, the second day I started to feel the same pain, along with the pain of the extraction. For 2 nights the pain has kept me awake, it's so strong that I cry myself to sleep and have been taking tylenol like crazy. My question is, could it be a dry socket from the extraction.? or is it the tooth that needs root canal.? The tooth that I feel the pain coming from, cannot be touched if my fingers are cold, or if I drink something cold it hurts a lot. The pain now is in my ears, what the heck is wrong.?.?.?.?
Please help, I'm only going back to the dentist on Saturday. What do I do.? I've been taking tylenol every day, 2 to 3 times a day for about 3 months now.Health Question & Answer

/Oh man. I would go to a different dental office for a second opinion and have full dental xrays done. If you have to undergo a root canal, you have to get a crown cemented over asap or the tooth could get re-infected.

Sounds to me like you may have an infection and i highly recommend an oral surgeons second opinion asap!!!

Ps- if you have a tooth infection that requires a root canal, the infection can grow and move to other places such as your sinus', ect and can be trouble. Call a surgeon!Health Question & Answer

It sounds like u have a root canal! I have never had one but, it sounds VERY painful!! In the meantime, there is gel u can buy at ur local drugstore that can ease the pain!(Call before u go though!) also, continue to take painkillers! I wish u the best of luck!!! ;)Health Question & Answer

Definitely seek the doc and lessen the amount you take tylenol. Too much damages internal organs and you dont want that, plus you could overdose :(Health Question & Answer
