Dental and pregnancy!????!

im 16 weeks pregnant, and right before i got pregnant i had a root canal and didnt have a crown put on it, and i went through a whole lot of crap during this cuz my dentist sux! i had a temp. fillin and it jsut fell out , so i have a huge whole in my mouth and it hurts when i drink water and you can see way down in there, like way to the roots and everything.

im worried about getting mouth diesases because of this.?.? and im worried about me swallowing the bacteria and everything or the stuff they stuff it with , and im worried it will hurt my unborn baby please give as much info as possible please.!

Answers:
You are fine to have dental work done in the 2nd or 3rd trimester. You need to go ahead and get your crown done. If you wait too much longer the tooth is going to start breaking down and you will have to get it extracted.

The temporary filling they put in after the root canal is just that, temporary. You were supposed to go get a crown within a few weeks of having the root canal.Health Question & Answer

Really.....nothing they do will be worse than if you don't do it.....
