From what I've researched, I'm most certain I have it but visiting the dentist is scary business. Is there any home care treatment I can do to heal it other than rinsing my mouth with warm salt water.?Health Question & Answer

A dentist would likely tell you to rinse the area with warm salt water and use a soft bristled tooth brush to clean the area. But you need to keep in mind that if there is an infection you would need antibiotics to clear that up.
You should not be afraid to see your dentist for treatment of this. You would probably just have an x-ray taken of your teeth and be referred to an oral surgeon to have the wisdom teeth removed.
