Answers:
It is very expensive. Many people have insurance through their jobs or buy it separately.
also, I know many people who go to Mexico for dentures and work, because it's so much cheaper.Health Question & Answer

Dental insurance in general has limits and usually is more for "preventative care"... not allowing for more than covering one crown a year maybe. People in the USA tend to pay attention or not pay attention to their dental health. The latter can get into trouble eventually and have an expensive catch up that insurance will not cover entirely. They also lessen their options of what can be done to restore things.

When I was a college student... I went to a dental school to have a wisdom tooth extracted... it cost $10 (ten dollars US) in the mid 1980's. I just got a $3,000.00 bill for a couple of crowns and two fillings. Usually if a person goes twice a year to the dentist...things can be kept to a minimum and paid for as they present.

I have heard stories of Mexico being the cheapest to get extensive care... but, with HIV, hepatitis etc... I would be worried about that idea. I have also heard Eastern Europe might be an option...but, would have to explore that. Will be interesting to hear what others say. Good Question.Health Question & Answer

It can be expensive but if you got dental plan, it cost way cheaper.
And its cheaper if you gonna take the Family plan.

My daughter just had her wisdom tooth removed and its 50% less than what the normal dentist normally charged.

here the link for the dental plan.
