How do I deal with braces when I get em?!

Do they hurt.?
-They did hurt for me. If you have a low tolerance for pain, take tylenol or something similar before.

-After getting braces they usually hurt for about a week

-After getting them tightened, they are sore for about 3 days

Should I take medicine before I get them on or after.?

-You can take tylenol or ibuprofen..you could take them before or after, but I recommend before..that way when it's going on, you don't hurt as much

What color bands should I get.?...I was thinking Blue for the top and Silver for the bottom.

-I would avoid lime green....Blue and silver would be nice

I'm going to school after...During lunch can I eat.?...

-You'll be able to eat, but your mouth will be sore, so I would suggest packing pudding, ice cream, yogurt, mashed potatoes, or something that is soft

I wouldn't say they hurt they just make your teeth feel really really weird!
I took advil after i got my braces on..i think its better that way it takes away the pain..
I like your color choice but instead of doing a solid color you should alternate the colors!
And i would bring soup with you or something or something soft because your teeth sorta hurt and feel weird for a couple days so when you go back to school just don't eat like a bagel or something hardHealth Question & Answer

they don't hurt very bad. really it's only sore for like 2 or 3 days just take an aspirin before u go and those are good colors too. for the lunch problem u can get like apple sauce but u can't anything u have to chew without it hurting for a day or so eat apple sauce, pudding, smoothies, yogurt things u just swallow. you'll be fine though don't worry i have braces on right now so i remember it and it wasn't that bad.Health Question & Answer

they do hurt but if i was you i would take some tylenol and ibprofein about a half hour b4 u go in to help the pain... thats what they told me to do when i got my braces and it helped alot also get some orajel to put on afterwards which will also kinda help with the painHealth Question & Answer

For me, the actual process didn't hurt but my teeth were very sore for a few days and I couldn't chew anything. Different people experience different effects so maybe you should see how you go. The colours sound fine, I'd just stay away from clear or green if I was you.

ive had mine for a year, and they only hurt a bit right after you get them tightened.
