Question: Does having permanent teeth removed hurt more than having baby teeth removed.?
I have an overbite, so tomorrow the dentist will be pulling out 4 of my permanant teeth (2 top, 2 bottom) to fix it.
I'm quite frightened, although I've had most of baby teeth pulled out (a horrible experience, I might add). But, does having [FOUR] permanent teeth removed hurt even more than having baby teeth pulled out.?

the recovery time will be a little more lengthy. The root structure on a permanent tooth is larger. With a baby tooth the root starts to reabsorb (kind of disintegrate) so that really the only thing holding a baby tooth in place is your tissue. With a permanent tooth it will take a little longer for the hole to heal up.Health Question & Answer
