It depends. You will probably get braces in a couple months. First you usually have to get spacers, you have those for a month, then you will most likely get the braces. When you get them, bring an iPod or MP3 Player to make the time pass quicker and drink lots of ice water the first couple of days you have them. That will soften up the wires. When the orthodontist tells you to do something, like if you get rubber-bands wear them, that way you'll get the braces off sooner or right on time. And try to keep your appointments, if you reschedule one, you'll most likely have your braces longer. Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer
