Can my dentist sue me for partials I never got?!

Question: Can my dentist sue me for partials I never got.?
Its been 5 years and I've never had them in my mouth and now he is suing me! Can he do that.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You have to complete the payment that was due. Not paying and not satisfied with treatment are two different things. If you want, you can complete the payment and THEN sue him for delivering insufficient treatment.

As the situation stands, he CAN sue you and will probably be justified because of all the reasons that the above poster indicated.

Hope that clarified the situation for you.

Yes. It was your responsibility to finish paying for the partial and go back to ensure that it was fitting properly. The dentist has a right to expect payment for a product that was custom made for you. It likely would have been a simple adjustment as well as just getting used to the feeling of it in your mouth. He probably could have adjusted it right there, especially since it was causing you so much discomfort. The dentist can not use that partial and would have been charged lab fees if he had to send it out to be done. That should have been your responsibility, not his. Sorry. Many offices will not let the product go out of the office until it it fully paid for. He probably just wanted to make sure that he got paid before fitting in the final product. He probably feels the same way you do. Why should HE have to pay for a product that he can't use either.?Health Question & Answer

Yes, you were fitted for them, you ordered them, you should have picked them up and used them. They won't fit anyone else - they were made for you.Health Question & Answer
