1.What level of pain is there and for how long.?
Loads of people say the pain is unbearable, trust me its not. You will be fine as long as you don't fiddle with them cos that makes them hurt more and don't get into fights, cos if you get hit in the mouth it really hurts. The only other slight bit of pain is when they tighten them but its still not unbearable. The pain will last from 2-7 days.

2.Im a guy what colors should i get.?
If your a guy you can still get any coulour but i would recommend your favourite football team, schools colours or blue and green they all look good.

3.Is it extra money to get colors.?
It depends on what type of insurance plan you have and whether or not you are paying for your braces. Ask your orthodontist about money cos nobody can really help you with that one.

4.what kind of food can i eat afterward.
You will be eating soup and lots of soft foods, don't try to eat anything hard you will just cause yourself more pain. also drink lots of fluids like smoothies or milkshakes. Convince some of your mates to take you out for a smoothie or go with your mum or girlfriend(if you have 1)

5. Im an Obsessive gum Chewer. What do i do.?!.?!
You orthodontist will tell you not to chew gum. Don't listen just make sure it doesn't get stuck to your brace and remember to clean your teeth well afterwards. also try sugar free gum so the sugar doesn't get stuck under your braces and cause your teeth to decay.

6.What kind of dental care is needed afterwards.?
You will need to go back to the orthodontist every 4-6 weeks to have your braces checked or tightened, also during that time you need to have your regular dental check-ups.

Good Luck with your braces and remember it will all be worth it in the end. I know it doesn't seem like it now but you will have perfect teeth in a few years time.

Based on me...

1. I had a lot of pain, unfortunately. I had to eat like soft things for about two weeks. But here's one perfect advice. Eat AS SOON as you're done getting your braces because you won't feel any pain till maybe later at night.

2. They usually have a lot of different colors (and even shade of colors). Plus they change it about every 4-6 weeks, so you can mismatch and get different colors.

3. Nope. Not extra money. Depends on your insurance I believe.

4. For awhile, you'd eat soft things, and it'll be hard to bite into sandwiches. You'll have to break pieces off and eat it. It''s okay, after awhile you can bite into them.

5. I honestly chewed gum a week later after getting my braces. It didn't do anything, and now I can regularly chew gum. They tell you not too, but if you're careful, it's alright.

6. They'll tell you all you need to know when you're done getting your braces. The lady sat me and my dad down, and gave me a kit, and took out a teeth model and showed me how to brush, floss and everything. It's easy.Health Question & Answer

1. Not much pain. Initially there is some - but you adjust to it pretty quickly. I did at least.
2. Something you won't mind seeing in lots of photos. Think about looking back at yourself 10 years from now!
3. Don't know for sure. Insurance may or may not cover that.
4. Stay away from anything sticky or overly sugary.
5. Chew freedent or some other sugar free or no stick type gum. Stride might be no stick.
6. Keeping your teeth brushed and following good dental hygeine~!Health Question & Answer

There really isn't a high level of pain...Just a constant dull ache in the mouth after every tightening.

You won't want to eat anything solid, stick to soup, or liquids.

You can still chew gum.Health Question & Answer
