Only wearing retainer at night?!

Question: Only wearing retainer at night.?
Ok, well this may be a silly question, Wednesday before last (almost 2 weeks ago) my orthodontist told me to wait two weeks until I could wear my top retainer only at night. Since tomorrow means I will only have one day to go, can I just go ahead and start wearing them at night.? My mom said that I should probably wait, but I mean one day can't make that big of a different could it.? Thank youHealth Question & Answer

I wouldn't want to tell you to go againts what your Dentist says, but 1 day probably won't hurt, You need to wear your retainer 12-14 hours a day, so usually a couple hours b4 u go to bed, like after dinner should be fine! Just make sure you never forget to wear it because your teeth will shift slightly (you won't even see it) It will hurt really bad when you put them back on... kind of lke when you would get your braces tightened!Health Question & Answer

Well....... Maybe it will
because maybe something was wrong with your top pair teeth and maybe that's why the dentist said that you should wait 2 weeks before you put it back on. also, i would wait till tomorrow because then maybe it would make a difference because, if u don't your teeth will probably get messed up and not straight and if you do u know maybe nothing will happen but i wouldn't wear it till tomorrow cause my sis has retainers and that's why i answered this question!!!!!!!!!
I Hope I Helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

I wouldn't think one day would make a huge difference. But it'll probably feel tighter when you put it on if you don't wear it.Health Question & Answer

Well...you've waited two weeks so one more day won't matter much to wait either, will it.? :)

I would just obey and do it right. You don't want to accidentally mess things up :)Health Question & Answer

i dont see what the difference would be,
i doubt it would hurt you teeth in anyway,
so go for it :)Health Question & Answer
