Drink soda with braces ? ?!
Question: Drink soda with braces .? .?
i have braces & is it ok to drink soda that has no caffeine in it .?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
Some dentists recommend you not to drink soda at all because it may eat away at your gum and braces.
Personally, I have been drinking soda (w/ caffeine) with braces. My orthodontist simply told me not to chew gum, eat anything sticky, or eat anything hard (like Doritos). I've had braces for 3 years and have been fine.
It's best to ask your orthodontist - they may prefer you to not drink soda.Health Question & Answer

Teeth with braces are more likely to get cavities, because they are harder to clean. Soda has a lot of sugar, and most orthos say cut down on the sugar. Just make sure you brush after anything sweet you eat. The caffeine isn't the problem.Health Question & Answer
