Should I get tooth bonding done?!

Question: Should I get tooth bonding done.?
I have a gap between my two front teeth. It's not that dramatic, but it's enough to be quite annoying. I'm 14 and in the 8th grade; should I get bonding done.?
Pros and cons.? And how much does it cost.? How can I convince my parents.?
also; I don't have an overbite or whatnot, so I really don't want braces, it's just the stupid gap.
Any help.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You are 14 and those teeth can last you the next 100 years.

White fillings on the front teeth last about 5 years. Then they chip, stain and leak. You will no longer be able to bite into anything with bones in it like chicken wings and have to watch out for fruit like peaches with pits because you can easily break your fillings and then you have a messed up smile and emergency trip to the dentist. also you have to shave your natural teeth down so that the fillings don't stick out.

I suggest:
A: Embrace who you are. Cookie cutter smiles have not as much personality. Madonna, Lauren Hutton, David Letterman, didn't fix theirs and do just fine.

B: If you are self conscious or are suffering while eating etc. Consider Invisaline. It can close a small gap in a few months and you will not have to shave your teeth down to replace broken/stained fillings. In the long term it will be cheaper than having your teeth bonded and replaced repeatedly.Health Question & Answer

yeah you should get it done because you'll regret it later. people notice your smile, and if it's something that bothers you a lot, you should get it done. just talk to your parents and tell them how you feel about the gap and how much the gap annoys you. all parents are different, but it's worth a shot. they might give in, they might not.

i went to google and typed in "how much does tooth bonding cost" and this one website says it ranges between $300-$600. i don't know anything about it; it's just what the website says. good luck :)Health Question & Answer

when i was younger i had a gap inbetween my front two teeth.. i got braces and everything...but because my teeth were so small all of the gap didnt close i still had a tiny one... so i got them bonded about a year and a half ago..it is so worth it.. im no longer self conscious around anyone so i def think u should do it..but if you do it just remember that if you ever want to whiten ur teeth the bonding doesnt whiten so it will stay the same color as ur original tooth color.

o and i didnt have dental insurance i paid two hundred per tooth i think it was..i cant remember for sure though ..sorryHealth Question & Answer
