I've had a consultation with an orthodontist about getting braces put in , he says because I've already had the four teeth removed they would usually remove to make space he can only get my teeth back 3-4mm still leaving me with a 4-5mm overbite (approx), he says he can make the top ones perfectly straight, but to keep the bottom ones straight he will have to file some teeth down and I'll have to have a wire attached to the back of my bottom set of teeth permanently, he quoted me

I had almost the exact work done 2 years ago. My bite still isn't perfect, but no gaps and my teeth look very natural. This man does orthodontics for a living, and for materials and adjustments, it's worth it. My braces were around 3000 also. I have that wire attached to my bottom teeth and it's very annoying. You could ask about a retainer instead later.Health Question & Answer
