i had braces since october and i just got rubber bands about 2 weeks ago and i heard that you get rubbers bands after a year.?Health Question & Answer

Not neccesarily. It all depends on your teeth. You orthodontist would have told you an estimated time when your braces will be taken off. However it is possible that your braces are fixing your teeth sooner than expected. you may still have to wait a while before they are gone though.Health Question & Answer
actually yes you are almost done.
fixing out your bite/jaw is the last step for getting your braces off.
but you cannot fool around with those rubber bands. you have to wear them all the them (or however long) your orthodontist tells you because you won't be getting them off soon if you don't stick to wearing them!!
