Question: Is working out at 16 bad for you and your growth.?
im 16 about 1.7m and just statred working out so im wondering will working out at home lifting weights not (really heavy) affect my growth because im not exactly tall for my age.? and is it bad for you at this age.?Health Question & Answer

Not bad at all.. I know someone that started going to the gym when she was 13, and she is 19 now... in the pink of health...

If you do strength workout then yes, you will stunt you r growth. However, if you work on endurance and toning, then no.
HIGH REPS + LIGHT WEIGHT = Tone, definition, fat loss, tight muscles look
HEAVY WEIGHT + LOW REPS = bulk/ strength/ Huge/ Arnold schwarznegger.
So at this stage, just focus on high reps which will increase you metabolism, burn fat, tone your arms as well as building muscle and becoming athletic.
