any meat or 'red' meats, if red, the only benefit of meat is the protien content. and you can get that from other sources. fish, chicken,turkey, eggs, beans/legumes, even 'power bar' type products have high contents. if your exercizing/working out, i wouldn't worry too much about the calories, you'll burn them off. b complex vitamins will also give you energy. also complex carbs, like if you work out in the morning, have a bowl of oatmeal about 1/2 hr. before you go. I assume you're worried about protein. Don't worry. Contrary to popular belief, plant protein is better quality than animal protein. Eat plenty of oats, beans, barley, brown rice, corn, and you'll get plenty of protein.Health Question & Answer
