Question: How many calories should I eat to lose 10-15 pounds in 5 weeks.? I'm 5'2" and 130 pounds..?
I think if I give myself 5 weeks to reach my goal, I will still be able to remain healthy. I've started my "diet" today and I would love to have any input as soon as possible. Thanks!Health Question & Answer

One pound of body fat is roughly equal to 3500 calories. The best way to lose weight is reduce your weekly calorie expenditure by the amount you want to lose. The safest and most sustainable amount is 1 to 2 pounds a week.

So, if you want to drop 1 pound, cut 500 calories per day from your current diet. Or, exercise enough during the week so that you burn an extra 500 calories. Or, some combination of both.

A little hint, if you start a new diet and exercise program you'll likely drop 3-5 pounds in the first week (maybe more). Most of that is water, not fat. Make the changes to your diet and exercises and stick with them for five weeks and you should have no problem meeting your goal.Health Question & Answer

All you do is fill in the simple form and it will calculate for you based on your height, current weight, sex, and activity level how many calories you need to eat everyday to maintain, or lose weight. I'm not sure if this will get you 10-15 lbs in 5 weeks but it's a start. also try exercising along with watching calories.Health Question & Answer
