Question: How long after having a meal could you exercise.?
if i ate a average meal (not overload myself with it) after how long could i exercise (treadmill running, weightlifting, etc.)

That depends on your digestive system, the intensity of the exercise, and what/how much you eat.

Many of my Ironman training workouts are long enough that I have to eat DURING, or risk bonking.

Over time, you'll figure out what you can an can't do. I know that a lot of red meat is bad for the next morning's long run - it takes me 5 or 6 miles to shake off the sluggishness. Anything with barbecue sauce makes me dizzy and nauseous during the next morning's swim. Fruit and pasta is fine anytime, even right before, as long as I don't eat too much or go to red zone heart rates....Health Question & Answer

Depends on your body - I always get nauseous when I exercise just after eating - so I usually wait an hour . . . I have a friend that eats just a little before exercising because she wants the added energy. Just try out different things and see how you feel best.

Dont eat a ton right before - just something small and light.
