Started going down the gym, just want to put a bit of weight on, anyone got any advice about supplements ?!
Question: Started going down the gym, just want to put a bit of weight on, anyone got any advice about supplements .?
theres so many supplements i dont know where to start, am not interested in getting massive just maybe a stone over the next 6 - 12 months, i also go boxing twice a week as well, any advice would be gratefully receivedHealth Question & Answer

supplements mean nothing without a correct diet in place first.
work out your bmr and aim for 500 calories above that each day.
eat clean, eat big and lift big and you will get big.
aim for 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight per day.
DO THIS
3 times a week
- Bench press variation
- Overhead press variation
- Wide/narrow grip pull up/lat pull down
- Bent over row or seated cable row or single arm db row
- Heavy squats and light deadlifts or vise versa
Vary you set rep ranges:
Monday - 5x5
Wednesday - 3x8
Friday - 3x10-12
EAT THIS
Breakfast
100g porridge oats + scoop of protein
1-2 scrambled eggs
2 fish oil caps
2 Glucosamine caps
Snack
Chicken Salad bagel or sarnie
Lunch
Baked potato or pasta with tuna + Sweetcorn or chicken breast + salad
Snack
50g of unsalted nuts (through the day) + piece of fruit or beef jerky if i have it
Pre workout
1/2 scoop Protein shake + 30g malto
Post workout
Protein shake + 50g malto
Dinner
usually quite meaty and carby...last night was large tin of tuna, cob of corn, salad, potatoes
Pre bed snack

You should try going all natural and building yourself up that way... You'll feel better about it afterwards!
You could ask your gym though - I know the guy im mine kept trying to sell me different "Xtreme Protein" things. They might also be able to tell you what they use (if any) and where the closest place to buy it is!

Taking protein i think is the main supplement. they come in milkshake powder that you just mix will milk.Health Question & Answer
