To see results you need to increase the speed so you are walking at a brisk pace - in time build up to jogging, but for now, take it a bit slower. You should be able to hold a conversation but be finding it a bit difficult. Even better would be to set the treadmill to a slight incline, this way you'll feel the muscles in your thighs and bum really working.

You also need to increase the duration to around 45minutes and if you do this 5 times a week, along with senesible eating, you should expect to see results in about 3 weeks.

Tape measure yourself each Monday - bust, waist, hips, and write it down, along with your body weight. Some times your weight stays the same which can be so un-motivating, but the tape measure will tell you you are losing the pounds. Health Question & Answer
