Does standing up instead of sitting help you burn energy?!


Question: Does standing up instead of sitting help you burn energy.?
If I ate enough but no more to gain weight and I stood up allot would that help me to lose some weight.?

Yes of course, It's better than sitting most of the time. The bones could also be of help with the stretchings while standing. As we can more straighten the back bones that will support the tummy to keep in tact and a nice posture could be more maintained at the same time. ^^

Certainly standing keeps one fit but when you feel tired then sit back again..
Stretch the legs or feet slightly forward while sitting so blood circulations will be much better while on your seat..^^Health Question & Answer

yes, and dont slouch when you sit, coz thats just asking for trouble, its almost the same as lying down.

No. Standing for a length of time is not good. Walking even if slowly burns calories even slightly if done for a long period of time. Some offices work walking on treadmill working on the computers. I dont know how they do it but I cannot.Health Question & Answer
