Question: Is my hunger a side effect of medicine.? I feel hungry but...?
I feel hungry, but I'm on prednistone (steroid for a rash) and i don't know if its just a side effect of the steroid that is making me THINK i'm hungry. its 7:33 pm where i'm at and so far today i have had 860 calories (including beverages) this is a really stupid question, i know... but i don't want to put on any weight. also.. its an easy 2 points for you guys! so what do you think- 860 calories by 7:33 pm normal or should I eat a little more.?Health Question & Answer

Increased appetite is one of the listed side-effects of prednisone.(I was on large doses following a kidney transplant and no amount of food could satisfy me.)
However,at 860 calories in 1 day,I don't think you need to worry about gaining any weight.Most people require a minimum of 1,000 calories daily just to maintain their weight.Health Question & Answer
