Question: Should I consume 1gram of protein/pound of bodyweight everyday, I only lift heavy weights 3days a week, and i .?
do cardio 6 days a week(at least 2.5 miles a day sprinting/jogging).
I weigh 190 pounds and eat around 190 grams of protein everyday, is this too much, considering that I lift weights 3 days a week.?Health Question & Answer

Are you trying to aspire to be an amateur bodybuilder.?
If so 1g per 1lb is right.
If not.. 1g per 1 kg ( 2.2 lb) is right

I'd say 190 grams of protein every day is about twice as much as you need. Too much protein can be hard on your kidneys. I believe most weight lifters use a gram of protein for every kg of body weight. Your body weight would be about 86 kg so you would want to take about 86-90 grams of protein on the days you are lifting and less on the days you run. Excess protein beyond the requirements of the body is broken down from amino acids into ketones or glucose or energy cycle intermediates for energy, and some is converted to ammonia then urea and excreted.Health Question & Answer
