Has anyone ever heard of women with cravings for Crushed Ice? Seriously?!
Question: Has anyone ever heard of women with cravings for Crushed Ice.? Seriously.?
Answers:
This could be just a craving - if you're pregnant, or even if you're not.
BUT...
Craving and chewing ice can also be a sign of anemia (low iron in your blood). If you've found yourself with freezing cold hands and/or feet lately and a little light-headedness, you might want to check with your doctor.
Getting tested for anemia isn't expensive, even if you don't have insurance ($5-10).

I also craved Ice when I was pregent. Ice Craving is a sign of Iron Deficiency Anemia, IDA is extremely common in women. IDA is very easily diagnosed with a simple blood test and very easily treated with iron supplements. If you need iron supplements, you may want to also take Vitamin C supplements to increase absorption of the iron. While there is nothing dangerous about chewing ice other than the risk of ruining your teeth, this could be a useful clue that something else is going on.
