Question: A word of advice to anyone thinking of quitting ciggies and are thinking of these ''miracle'' tablets.?

If you are thinking (or are on!) Champix...well, I posted a question asking after personal experience and i would like you to know mine. I ended up on the floor, flat out cold and an ambulance was called...if you have ANY type of reaction to this medication, PLEASE stop taking it! It is not just me...see the link below...not to say it won't work for some people but this is no wonder drug...THERE ARE SIDE AFFECTS. Be Safe and Have Fun :0)

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. It is very disturbing the amount of side affects from prescription drugs. I had a really bad episode after taking an antidepressant and then washing it down with a bottle of cola. The caffeine seemed to interract with the drug and my heart rate rose to about 180. I thought I was going to die. I gave up caffeine immediately.

I hope everyone else reads your message, and I hope you are feeling much better now.

I am so very sorry that this happened to you, what an awful experience. One answerer mentioned an antidepressant, that is Wellbutrin which quells the urge for nicotine and also has other good benefits as it is an antidepressant. It is a good idea to take it with food. I never had any side affects and was able to quit successfully. Antidepressants are not addictive and are perfectly safe. I know your warning is appreciated by many.
