Question: How can I continue to lose weight but with less cardio.?I think my body is adapting to the amount of cardio.?
do cardio 6 days a week. 3 days I will jog/walk on incline for 45 minutes. Then another three days I will do 45 min jog in the morning and 45 min jog at night. Now I've had success losing weight doing this much cardio but for the past few weeks I only lost a pound(i was dissapointed considering all the cardio im doing).
my diet is perfect.

My question is although I still hope to lose more weight should I take a week off of cardio and just do weightlifting.?Health Question & Answer


Answers:
Couple of things. It sounds like you're using an elipitical trainer or treadmill. Look to use the random or hill function to elevate both up and down. Look to lengthen the time of your cardio workout more.

Finally - if you are to add weights in your routine - look to do a circuit training style workout which is much less weight, more reps than a normal weightlifting routine (aout 70% of maximum weight). No breaks longer than 10 seconds between sets and jumping jacks on occassion to keep your heart rate up.
