How to tone my inner and outer thighs?!


Question: How to tone my inner and outer thighs.?
Summer is here soon and I want to be able to wear short shorts. I already bike ride 20mins a day and do 20mins of pilates too. Do I have muscular thighs because I asked a previous question saying if I was fat and many people said I was just right. Any suggestions.?Health Question & Answer

I have the same problem, i think its partly genetic - my mum has big thighs - partly diet and exercise.

You can't change your genes, but you can do your bit with diet and exercise. You say your not fat, therefore i'm assuming you have largish thigh muscles... the best thing you can do there is lengthen and tone those muscles.. which i did with pilates (which you already do). perhaps you could do extra of the pilates workouts which work the thigh and inner thigh area ( i find that the WINDSOR PILATES SIDE KICK SERIES is the bomb for this)

also if you want you skin to look smooth and toned in the thigh area i find WALKING is great - it definitely tones up my legs and helps me lose fat in the leg area without bulking up the muscle. however to get benefit from this i walk at least 60 minutes/day sometimes i do a bit more. I find its the duration that matters here not the intensity of walking so i just walk at a moderate pace.

I also find that drinking lots of WATER, and AVOIDING SUGAR helps improve the skin tone and hydration e.g helps with cellulite.

One extra thing you can do if you live near the beach is go for a swim in the sea - the salt water seems to improve the tone of my thighs and my friends have found the same.

lunges are like miracle leg exercises, i love them! do lunges with moderately heavy weights (enough to do about 3 sets of 15 lunges per leg) about 3-4 times a week in addition to other exercise. also, i've found that running slims the legs while biking tends to bulk them up. you won't be able to spot-reduce fat in those areas but they will become more firm and toned.Health Question & Answer
