Drink only water, and drink a lot of it for the first four days, this will make sure you're well hydrated for the next part. The next part being running like mad. The last two days, you won't exorcise as much, or drink nearly as much, and you'll lose the last bit of extra water weight.

You gain weight in the form of fat when your body has unused energy that it takes in the form of food or drink. So, your main goal is to use more energy than you intake, that forces your body to use up it's energy stores (i.e. Fat). I assume you're young so this should be easier on you in particular.

First thing to do is to limit your calorie intake. Keep count of it. Allow yourself a reasonable intake of calories based on your daily activities. For instance, if you're a student and do nothing all day, 1500 should be plenty to live off of. But if you're an athlete in an intense sport you may need up to 5000 calories a day to not keel over.

After you do that, your goal is to burn what fat you do have to loose the weight. Now, the most important thing to do is to not go by that stupid scale. As you loose weight by exercising you gain muscle mass. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may actually gain weight for a long while. Your bodies shape however will change significantly. The key is to measure your waist to see progress.

In order to keep track of how many calories you burn, you need to look at charts (easily found online) to see how many calories any given activity will burn per hour. After that, it's a simple bit of math, to find your Net Calorie intake (that is, your calories gained from eating and drinking, minus the calories you burned from exorcise). Your Net Calorie intake should be somewhere near your target calorie intake we decided earlier, but not above. Too far below and you risk becoming unhealthy.

Tips:

Drink only Water. It's one of the easiest things you can do to manage weight.

Eat fresh or home prepared foods. Many store bought foods contain so many additives, and you don't always know what any one given additive will do.

It's okay to reward yourself. Just don't go overboard and defeat all your hard earned weight loss.

Remember that your body is almost completely composed of water. This means that a good deal of your weight can be taken away by not drinking as much in the last two days of your six day program.


WARNING Keep in mind that losing too much weight too quickly is extremely bad for your health.

the treadmill is good, because its cardio, which is the best type of exercise for burning fat and losing weight. Do about an hour of cardio each day on your treadmill, using the uphill setting on your treadmill for a little bit if it has one to help tone your legs. also, try eating more veggies and drinking lots of water. I am trying to do the same thing. I write down EVERYTHING I eat in the day in a notebook. I try to keep my food within 1200-1300 calories. I try to make sure I am eating quality foods like protein, vegetables, and fruit. I'm not perfect and yes, i eat some ice cream and other bad snacks at times- it is so hard to stay on track. Even though you only have a treadmill there is more you can do. Try doing a 30 minute cardio a day, then do situps, pushups, leg ups, and side bends. You can lay on the floor to do all of these. stop eating junk food,measure ur weight every day,run on ur treadmill for 15 minutes to 2 hours 1 to 3 times daily always have water or gaterade near u when excersing. best of luck.
