you don't do what the whale does, do you.? Can you do these things......... such as.........
Eat a lot. I mean a LOT. You must eat all kinds, including coke cans, beer bottles and rubber tires. (sad, but a true fact...we humans are to blame)
It should be relentless, mindless eating forever.
Sleep under water.
Survive with just dissolved oxygen in the water.
And, scientists tell us they do not get cancer. They are doing research as to how, why.
So, it is two different thing entirely. For these species, their weight and size is normal.
In your estimation then, what is considered "slim" and "shapely" for whales.? And, 'attractive'.? LOL.
You are equating humans with other species. That is not the way to go about it.
Taken in their own right, whales are not fat, they are big.

The majority of the large whales eat nearly microscopic plankten. But they are eating constantly.
They need the fat for insulation because most whales live in cold water, so thier bodies store fat much differently than humans, you can't compare the two species. They need it to survive, as do we... we just don't need as much. So get off the couch and go swimming to burn some.Health Question & Answer

whales need to be fat. on some whales it's mostly muscle, but whales need lots and lots of blubber to keep insulated and warm in deep and arctic waters.Health Question & Answer
