Question: Can skipping breakfast and lunch harm your body.?
Okay so I'm in highschool and have no time to eat in the mornings so I don't. Plus I'm picky and don't really like breakfest foods. also then at lunch I don't eat because I'm picky and don't really like anything. So then I would eat alot when I get home and then alot at dinner but then I figured that was bad and can make you fat so I stopped. Now I only eat dinner but alot of it. What can happen because my mom finds it bad.Health Question & Answer

Yes it has a terrible effect, especially when you get older. When you don't eat your body goes into starvation mode- so when you actually do eat, it stores it all as fat. Picky is no excuse not to eat, your parents should never let you out the door without breakfast.

I suggest you find something, even if it's just a poptart or a piece of bread to eat for breakfast and lunch. If you don't fix your metabolism while you're young, you'll end up being quite the chubby-chub when you get older. Even a handful of nuts or a piece of fruit here and there would be better than having nothing, rather than bingeing at dinner time.

The trick is to space out your meals into manageable lots to keep your body fuelled through the day. Try having small snack sized meals through the day rather than big ones as they are easier to manage.

The better your diet is the more energy you'll have and the better condition your body will be in to cope with a busy lifestyle. If you start developing good habits now it will make it much easier for you in later life.

Write up a list of foods you like and make up a meal plan for yourself, you can work on it with your mum and it will be a good way to figure out the best daily/weekly plan for you.

Breakfast is really important. I have a high school aged daughter, so I know it's not always easy to eat before school, but maybe something you can grab on the way, or one of those instant breakfast bars or powders you mix with milk.?

How about just a toaster pastry or waffle with some peanut butter and jelly on it.

I think it is bad for you somehow, but when I get a check-up every year he always asks me how I am so healthy blood/blood-pressure/weight/ etc. I think you should try to eat an apple or something in the morning. yeah its bad in the long run because like you said you eat alot more when its dinner time or when you get home and will make you gain weight.
