Question: Losing weight.? 10 points, I swear. .?
OK so I'm not at all happy with the way I look in reference to my weight and size. I'm an 8 or a 30 in pants and a medium to a large in tops, both in women's. I'm 15 and this makes me feel terrible because everywhere I turn I see people who are size twos and fours and not just in magazines but in real life. It really wouldn't bother me if it weren't for PE. We're pushed harder then in regular schools (we run 3-4 miles every class and expected to it in 20 minutes) and solely graded on our scores. Mine are always the worst in the entire class and everyone makes fun of me for this including my friends. Most of them are just joking around and I try to laugh it off but it hurts me like hell. I'm not healthy and I'm not happy about my sizes so now time for my question: Does anyone have any at home diets and at home exercise routines that I could use to drop a couple sizes (I'd prefer to be a 4 or a 6).? The only restrictions are that the diets can't be anything like south beach or jenny craig but things you can do at home without going out to buy prepared meals or order them and the exercise routine can't be longer than a hour (homework). Answers:
First of all you are a great size!!!! your freinds are not freinds if they make fun of you. Being 'super' skinny can also mean being unhealthy.
You dont need to go on a 'diet'. your a great size.
However if you want to become FIT then you just need to eat the right foods and excerise reguarly. This isn't a 'diet'. its about eating correctly.
instead of snacking on chips, chocolates etc, replace it with fruit or nuts. It will fill you up, whether having a packet of chips will make you eat more.
Breakfast you can have oatmeal (porridge) with fruit and yogurt.
for bread, have rye bread or wholemeal/grain bread.
Honey is great to have as its good for you and it has a sweet taste which fill your cravings.
Chicken and red meat are good for you - no fried!
Have wholemeal products e.g. brown rice, wholemeal spaghetti, wholemeal flour if your cooking.
fruit and vegies are great. grapes, watermelon, blueberries, banana's, apples and more are really good for you. Vegies, put in soups and stir-fries...instead of chips on the side with meat have vegies.
Replace butter on your sandwich with avacado.
Have yogurt, tofu, salmon, tuna, wolemeal crackers. Blueberrie muffins are yummy as blueberries are very good for you.
Drink plenty of water, have milk for calcium and make your own juices, or buy your own juice. When buying juice or anything in tins e.g. spaghetti sauce, soups etc, make sure it has no added sugar, no sweetner, no artificial colouring or preservatives.
Eating healthier foods means no diet or calorie counting...your just eating healthy...thats it!

try walking everywhere. Pilates and boxing dvds are great as they go for 20/30 min. Skipping and swimming are a great all over body workout. Weights is great too.
Exercise 2-3 times a week. Allow your body to rest. And you can snack once every now and then. Perhaps instead of buying milk chocolate, buy dark chocolate as its good for you and it fills you up quicker!
Dont let people push you around. Some girls are size 8's and some girls are size 12. There is no 'normal' weight. Its just about being healthy.Health Question & Answer
